Vinicius Jr Extends Apology to Real Madrid Fans
The forward has registered five goals in 10 Spanish league outings during the current campaign.
The Madrid giants attacker Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to the fanbase for his reaction when taken off in Sunday's heated Clasico clash win.
He was taken off in the 72nd minute and expressed his frustration by heading directly off the pitch.
The Brazilian eventually reappeared to the sidelines and, following his side's 2-1 win, attempted to approach the opposition's opposing player during contentious post-match scenes.
"This day I want to say sorry to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was substituted in the big match," the player shared on social media.
"Just as I have previously expressed during this morning's session, I would like to express regret anew to my colleagues, the team, and the leadership.
"At times passion gets the better of me because I constantly desire to triumph and assist my club. My determined nature stems from the passion I feel for this club and all it symbolizes."
Vinicius signed for Madrid from his former club in 2018 for millions and has accumulated over a century of strikes in 335 appearances.
But his prospects in the Madrid is uncertain with speculation in recent months suggesting that Real would think about permitting the player depart if they got a appropriate bid.
When the winger was replaced on Sunday, broadcast footage from broadcaster the service recorded him remarking: "Always me! I'm exiting the club! It's better if I depart, I'm leaving."
In his latest statement on X, the athlete said: "I vow to keep striving every second for the benefit of Los Blancos, as I have acted since the first day."
